PET PORTRAIT COMMISSION GUIDE LINES- The subject matter can be of any domestic animal, dog, cat, exotic reptile or even your favorite farm animal. The choice is yours. I work where ever possible from your photos. All I ask is that the photo's are of good quality and size. Try to avoid taking a picture of your pet using a flash as this tends to wash out the image and gives poor colour results. The best approach is to take the photo outside in normal daylight. Always try to take a photo down at the eye line of the animal. It's also important to take as many as possible as I tend to take reference from more that one photo. The picture format can either be from original conventional film prints /negatives posted to me or from digital files that can be sent via email.

All original photographs will be returned with the painting when complete.

If you are not confident with taking the picture yourselves or the results are poor I offer a special Air Art by Carl photo service to take the reference photos for you. This has been the preferred route for over 50% of my clients. Please click here for details.

I will keep you informed with the progress from my studio via email including images where possible of the painting as it develops.

I will endeavor to complete the painting within 5 weeks of agreeing the details and receiving the deposit. This may fluctuate depending upon workload and seasonal trends.

Canvas Size (approximate)

One animal head and shoulders-Colour unframed with white or diffused background. Excludes p&p.

Group Portrait-add 40% for each additional animal, capped at £150 for each additional animal head.

DEPOSIT

A 30% deposit is required with your order. Once Carl has started the painting this is non refundable.
